General comparisons
The Sega logo sequence has been updated from the July prototype to feature the pencil animation from the final game, though a "LICENSED BY SEGA ENTERPRISES, LTD." string appears beneath the logo as the pencil flies off. This string was removed in the final as it is displayed on a different screen.
The Sony Imagesoft logo is stretched out, is missing the drop shadows, and has a less colourful palette.
The Traveller's Tales logo is displayed before the Disney Software logo, using a rendering trick to update every frame to give the illusion of the logo using more colours, and fills the whole screen with no copyright information. It is also rendered at 256x224...
...and so is the Disney Software logo. The screen reads "Disney Software Presents" instead of "And Disney Software Present".
The game's title is purple instead of orange. The positionings of the title, subtitle, Mickey and Pluto are also slightly different.
All menus and text screens continue to use the same background depicting the Mickey Mouse emblem. The selection icon is still an Extra Life instead of a small pencil.
The options screen now has the help screen option and no longer has music, but still has differences:
- There is still no Easy difficulty setting.
- The selectable values for the lives setting are still one less life than the player can choose in the final.
Some of the text on the first help screen is coloured pink instead of light blue, and some of the wording is different. This build mentions being able to pick up marbles, and claims the checkpoint rocket "makes the level easier".
The second help screen is not yet present, as the game returns to the options menu after the first screen.
The continue screen is the same as the previous prototype.
