Stage select
On the main menu, press 
. A sound will confirm correct entry, and a stage select will appear after the intro cutscene.
Stage skip
On the main menu, press . A sound will confirm correct entry. When paused, press 
to automatically clear the stage, or 
to fail it.
The game may not recognise correct entry when entering this cheat, so it may take a few tries.
Infinite lives
On the main menu, press . A sound will confirm correct entry.
Auto-play
On the main menu, press . A sound will confirm correct entry, and the game will automatically play itself.
Clean pause
On the main menu, press . A sound will confirm correct entry, and the "PAUSE!" text will no longer display when pausing the game.
High-resolution mode
On the main menu, press . A sound will confirm correct entry. This will render the game in a 320×224 resolution, albeit with black borders.
Effects test
On the main menu, press . A sound will confirm correct entry, and a sound effects test will be added to the options menu.
Test mode
On the main menu, press . A sound will confirm correct entry, and a "Test mode" will be added to the main menu, which tests the game's FMV cinematics.
To use the test mode, press or to select an FMV, and press 
, or to play it. Press START while an FMV is playing to pause it, then press , or to stop playing and select a different FMV. Press START when an FMV isn't playing to exit.
