Remix Factory was a British music studio and audio production company founded by Sonic the Hedgehog series vocalist and arranger Lee Brotherton.

Company

Remix Factory has enjoyed underground success producing and remixing for several major artists including Britney Spears, Beyoncé, and Madonna, as well as writing and composing for various other projects. The Factory is most famous, however, for its work with the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Remix Factory first worked with SEGA with its remix of the Sonic Adventure 2 song "E.G.G.M.A.N." for Shadow the Hedgehog. From there, the Factory worked on the soundtrack to the PlayStation Portable game Sonic Rivals. Most recently, the group worked on Brotherton's song "Dreams of an Absolution", which appears in the 2006 video game Sonic the Hedgehog, and later on its 2007 soundtrack, Sonic the Hedgehog Vocal Traxx: Several Wills. The song was written by Brotherton with fellow composers Tomoya Ohtani and Mariko Nanba. The song has been remixed thrice; one is produced by Brotherton himself with Jun Senoue (which was also released on the Several Wills album), one is the Nightlight remix, and one is remixed with K-Klub. In April 2008, a fourth version leaked onto the internet after a fan recorded a sample using their cell phone while the song was being recorded in the studio. This version was later confirmed by Brotherton on his site blog (as Bentley Jones) and that he had intentions of including it on his Bentley Jones album but was unable to confirm its inclusion yet.
