Online services

From Sega Retro

Some thoughts

  • At first I was thinking splitting "Online services" and "Online hardware" made sense. But then realized we have pages which cover both a modem and its service (with tabbed screenshots for both.) And that splitting the two categories would mean splitting all these service and hardware articles too. This would mean every online accessory would cover its service... which shouldn't be a problem. I mentally tripped when thinking about the Dreamcast Modem (it's just a basic internet connection without a specialized Sega created/sponsored "service"), but its still the Sega-relevant hardware which connects you to an online service. On that note, leaving any seemingly "hardware-only" cases out of the larger category doesn't feel right. So...

To do!

  • Add all hardware and services (but not software i.e. Bank Osaka) to Category:Online services. Make sure we don't have any services separated from their hardware pages.
  • Ensure all hardware covers its respective service. Including redirects, and possibly untangling a few things.
  • While you're on these pages, make sure everything's ready for way-future automation, including a valid type= on every AccessoryBob, and making sure all this hardware is (with considerations) actually using AccessoryBob, the same looking standardization, etc.
