Since the late 80s, Nintendo used in Europe a "colored triangles" system for licensed video games appearing within Europe. These triangles can be found on the spine of the manuals for NES (games released from late 80s), SNES, Game Boy, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. With the Nintendo of Europe established, EU-PAL products have been sold also outside the Europe, in Africa and parts of Asia (Middle East, Russia, CIS and Afghanistan). After 2002 release of the Nintendo GameCube, NoE has adopted these triangles in the video game box, and currently apply to all GameCube, Nintendo DS, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U and Nintendo Switch software.
