Technical information

The size and accuracy of ALF's collision detection is dependent on the hardware's support for collision detection in the masked regions of sprites. The Master System will not mark a sprite collision if it occurs in the masked area, but the Mega Drive will, producing a more difficult experience when played through a Mega Adaptor.[1]
