Ura mode
On the title screen, press 
. This will enable "Ura mode".
Now "Homing" and "Sync" shoot speeds will be added to the configuration screen (allowing for homing and very fast projectiles, respectively). And stage select screens can be accessed from the main menu by pressing HOLD START (for original stages) and HOLD START (for extra stages).
