Little Medusa is an aftermarket indie game released in 2018 for the Sega Mega Drive, Nintendo Entertainment System and Super Nintendo Entertainment System. A free downloadable demo is available from the developer's store.

Story

This is an action puzzle game set in Greek mythology where a vain young goddess named Artemiza has been transformed into a gorgon by an evil goddess named Fiora, and must defeat the Titans in order to save Mount Olympus and return to her original form.

Gameplay

Little Medusa is played from a top-down perspective, and the objective is to clear each level by collecting all of the stars on-screen. As a gorgon, Artemiza can use the A button to petrify enemies with her gaze and push them into other enemies to defeat them or into water to create bridges. She can also create stone blocks that serve as obstacles with the C button.

There are 5 worlds in the game, each ending with a boss fight against a Titan, and a secret world that is unlocked if the player completes the game quickly enough. There are also 15 achievements for the player to unlock, and an "Olympian Mode" where the player only has one life to complete the game.
