Sega Gaming Technology, Inc. was a subsidiary of Sega Enterprises USA which produced gambling machines in the US. It was founded in 1996.
The company is not thought to have designed products itself, but rather adapt Japanese medal game machines for the US market.
In March 1997, the company was sold to a group of investors, leaving Sega with only 20% control over the company. Sega re-purchased the remaining 80% in 2000, before selling it to Shuffle Master in 2003[1]. As part of this deal, Shuffle Master gained the rights to distribute Sega Gaming Technology's games.
