The Cherry Coke/Sega Sonic Shuttle 1993 was a tour organised by Sega of America and Coca-Cola in the summer of 1993, giving Americans free drinks of Cherry Coke and an opportunity to play Sega Mega Drive games. It was the latest in a long line of partnerships between Sega and Coca-Cola.
Starting in June[1], the "Sonic Shuttle" van visited 20 US cities[2], with 1.7 million free giveaways. Six Mega Drive games were playable, including Sonic the Hedgehog 2[1].
The format would be repeated with the Cherry Coke/Sega Sonic Shuttle 1994 the following year and the Cherry Coke/Sega Saturn Shuttle Sampling Program in 1995.
