mikeyeldey: the album, also known as mikeyeldey: the album for Sega Genesis[3], is an album released as a Sega Mega Drive cartridge. Mike Elder's eponymous release provides an eclectic collection of 16 electronic tracks. Described by the artist as "an interactive experience", it sports live music visualizers and four minigames.[4]

Gameplay
Pressing START at the title screen presents the user with a list of the album's tracks. 
and 
can be used to select a track, and 
plays the selected track while 
or START stops playback. Pressing 
toggles turbo, however this feature is not available for tracks that rely on DAC samples. Pressing 
accesses the bonus tracks exclusive to the software.
Mini-games
Some songs have associated mini-games that can be played by pressing 
when highlighting the songs in the track list.

| In this game, the user moves forward automatically and the objective is to jump across as many platforms as possible by pressing , or to jump. The game ends if the user falls.

| Unregistered Hypercam2 | |
| A rhythm game similar to games like Guitar Hero where the objective is to press , or when the coloured heads move over the button icons. The player's accuracy is tracked via a percentage on the left.

| Factory | |
| In this game, the user must pack as many heads into boxes as they can within the time limit, pressing , or to operate the crane. Packing a poop emoji into a box will make the user lose points.

| Carpeted Hospital | |
| The player controls a balloon using and and must fly it through rings to score points. Touching the rings will pop the balloon and end the game.

History
Mikeyeldey: The Album was released as a highly limited set of ten black Mega Drive cartridges in May 2021[1], and after selling out within two days, Elder released a second batch of 25 pink cartridges the following week. This second batch proceeded to sell out within a few hours, prompting to artist to release a third batch.[4]
