3Dfx Interactive, Inc. v. Sega Enterprises, Ltd. is a 1997 case in which 3Dfx Interactive, an American technology company, sued Sega Enterprises, Sega of America, NEC Corporation, and Videologic for breach of contract when Sega dropped their planned Dreamcast graphics chipset.[2]

History
3Dfx Interactive was one of the American companies which was contracted by Sega of America to create technology for what would become the Dreamcast, being officially contracted to develop the system in March 1997. However, Sega terminated the deal the following July. As a result, 3Dfx sued Sega Enterprises for breach of contract on September 2, 1997.[2]
