I'm Sorry, known in Japan as Gonbee no I'm Sorry (ごんべえのあいむそ〜り〜), is a Sega System 1 arcade maze game developed by Coreland and manufactured by Sega. Based on and satirizing the political corruption of Japanese Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka, and notably featuring the politician in the game's starring role, it was first released in Japan in April 1985, and was surprisingly localized and brought to the United States later that year.
The game's title is a pun on the Japanese word for Prime Minister, "Sori".

Gameplay
I'm Sorry is one of Sega's more bizarre arcade outings, putting players in control of the real-life Kakuei Tanaka, former Prime Minister of Japan known for his corruption and acceptance of large bribes - with the game's mazes littered with shining gold bars for him to collect. Kakuei Tanaka has the ability to jump over obstacles and punch incoming enemies, and is tasked with bringing all the gold bars to each maze's goal. A number of Japanese pop culture staples act as the game's enemies, with wrestler Giant Baba, pop sensations Michael Jackson and Madonna, Japanese comedian Tamori, and former American track and field athlete Carl Lewis all making appearances.
History
Despite the heavy emphasis on Japanese satire, an English version was made for the export market. However, this version of the PCB is reportedly even rarer than the Japanese original.
