Independence Day has one cheat menu, but depending on the code used to access it, may not let the user toggle certain options. Entry is always similar; go to the options screen and set the player's name to one of the codes below, then return to the main menu and press .

• FOX ROX: Lets you select a city.
• MR HAPPY: Lets you select a plane.
• GODZILLA: Enables "Kill Civil" (destroy civilian targets) and "Kill Wing" (destroy your wingman)
• GO POSTAL: Enables damage bonus (one hit kills), weapons (unlmited ammo) and fast reload (rapid fire).
• TOURIST: Enables "Tourist" (no aliens), "Demo cam" (camera control) and "No time" (time limit).
• RADARMY: Enables everything.
