Rayman's purple top is recoloured blue in the Japanese version, as it was believed that purple represents death in Japan, however purple traditionally represents the aristocratic class in Japan. The belief may have stemmed from the practice of Thai widows wearing purple when in mourning.

Globox appears to have been given simpler textures, and his hands have fewer polygons, making him look like he has less fingers. These changes also apply the rest of his family.
