Despite VIC Tokai producing different versions for different regions, both ROMs will drop the ™ symbol from the Sega logo if a Japanese system is detected.

Socket (US)

"Time Dominator 1st" is known as "Socket" in the US. In addition to having a different title, the animation plays out differently - rather than kicking a clock and standing in the middle of the screen, Socket walks to the left and jumps up behind the logo in the US version.

Socket (US)

For each level's title card, the Japanese game has "MINUTE" while the US version has "SOCKET" in the bottom left.

Socket (US)

For reasons unknown, the first and fourth High Speed areas are swapped between the two versions.
