Puyo Puyo Tetris

I don't know much about Japanese to English translations (I just coast by with help from Google Translate), but I think the idea is that "puyo puyo", "puyopuyo" and "puyo-puyo" are all valid. None are incorrect - Sega base their decisions on which to use on how the planets are aligned, we base our decisions on popularity (i.e. what's the most used variant), readibility and consistency with other pages. So I'd say "Puyo Puyo Tetris" is probably a better choice. If nothing else, that's what most others are calling it.

My understanding is that this is onomatopoeia (like "doki doki" and "waku waku" - Japanese is much more into this stuff than English), so you won't find "puyo" in a Japanese dictionary. It's presumably the sound the blobs make when they land. And in Puyo Puyo the blobs come in twos and hence two sounds and I don't know Compile liked puns. -Black Squirrel (talk) 08:47, 3 March 2014 (CST)
