Magtable
From Sega Retro
Reprints
We don't currently have a means of handling this. Sometimes magazines print the same thing twice, and I'm conscious these tables are already set to get massive.
For example:
The same review of The House of the Dead 2 is printed in both issue #0 and issue #1 of Dreamplanet. The layout is different, but the text is exactly the same.
I'm thinking it could be as simple as a bullet-pointed list at the bottom of the description, like:
Reprints:
- Dreamplanet (ES) #1: "Diciembre 1999"[1]
- Dreamplanet (ES) #2: "Enero 2000"[2]
- Dreamplanet (ES) #3: "Marzo 2000"[3]
How to implement this cleanly is a different matter - thoughts? -Black Squirrel (talk) 10:51, 3 June 2020 (EDT)
- Some other reasons why this matters:
- The very last issue of Dreamcast Magazine (UK) reprints old reviews
- Sega Master Force and Sega Force Mega share a Game Gear section
- Bog-standard translations of reviews exist. I think all the Mega Forces line up, and there are GamePro translations. This is an issue for books too mind you.
- It's probably pointless to list a dozen minor variants of GamePro en Español, but I think we should do that anyway just in case

- Current thought:
| translations={{someTemplate |dreamplanet|1|10 |dreamplanet|2|20 |dreamplanet|3|30 }} | reprints={{someTemplate |dreamplanet|1|10 |dreamplanet|2|20 |dreamplanet|3|30 }}
- don't currently have the patience to deal with MediaWiki loop syntax. For another day~ -Black Squirrel (talk) 14:01, 10 June 2020 (EDT)
Sort by date
Is it possible to automatically display this table in date order? I am currently sorting by visually comparing dates, but find it difficult and often error prone. -Akiyama Akane (talk) 19:31, 3 May 2022 (EDT)
