Win the 100 metre splash
Do nothing on the 100 metre splash, and Pond will be repeatedly kicked up the beach by a penguin. Let it kick you into the water (which takes just less than a minute), and you'll get 10,000 points, the timer will be reset, and you'll be able to finish the race in record time.
