The Acorn Electron is an 8-bit home microcomputer created by Acorn Computers in 1983. It's based off of the BBC Micro, but with reduced hardware capabilities in order to target the budget end of the market. Whilst most Electron games will run on a BBC Micro, they will generally run too fast, so the vast majority of Electron games also have BBC Micro specific versions.
