Galaxy Force is a 1988 arcade game developed by Sega AM2 for Sega Y Board hardware. It was subsequently brought to the Sega Master System in 1989.
Similar to After Burner, it received a sequel, Galaxy Force II within the year which is largely the same. but with minor tweaks. However, it would be this version that saw the most ports to other consoles and computers.
The Master System port was done by Sega, but Activision handled distribution in the US. Furthermore, it has FM support, despite not being released in Japan.
