Sega in 2 Action! Tour

From Sega Retro

The Sega in 2 Action! Tour involved buses promoting Sega travelling around the United Kingdom to promote new games. It occured in 1995 (following a 1994 tour, though this may have been different in nature).

Fate of the Buses

RCH 280R

Built by Leyland in November 1976 but badged as a Daimler, RCH 280R was initially used by Derby City Transport before being retired from service for promotion. Following the Sega in 2 Action! Tour, it was converted (though not re-painted) for double-decker bus racing, where it competed in 1999. It was reportedly on the road as late as 2009, but is now a static children's reading library at a primary school near Newcastle.

C648 FTT

This MCW Metroliner was registered in Exeter some time between August 1985 and July 1986, and was used by North Devon Expressway and National Express. It was operating on the Sega in 2 Action! tour as least as late as an appearance at Longleat Safari Park in May 1995, painted in a slightly modified 32X livery. Its ultimate fate is as yet unknown.
