General comparisons
The title screen border is shorter than in the final game by 8 pixels, with its contents being placed 8 pixels lower, which causes the instructions to overlap the copyright string. The "MANUFACTURED FOR PLAY ON THE SEGA GENESIS" string is also missing.
The life icon has different graphics. While the final game has Awesome Possum grow increasingly tired until he has X-eyes as he takes damage, this build depicts him decomposing into a skull.
There is only one death animation in this build, where Awesome Possum decomposes into a skeleton.
When getting a Game Over, the screen transition is red instead of teal.
