Prerelease of: Bio-Hazard Battle
System: Sega Mega Drive
Build date: 1991(?)
Source: EPROM cartridge
Found by: AluminumMind93, Modern Vintage Gamer

The Bio-Hazard Battle prototype is a prototype build of Bio-Hazard Battle for the Sega Mega Drive. It was found on an EPROM cartridge on March 8, 2021 by Reddit user AluminumMind93 and was presumed to be a prototype of Alien Storm, as the cartridge label had "Alien Storm" printed on it. When it was dumped by Modern Vintage Gamer on March 29, 2021, it was revealed to be a prototype for Bio-Hazard Battle.

This is an early prototype of the game, and is presumed to date back to 1991 according to a memo in the ROM header. It appears to be a demo of the game, as only two stages are playable by normal means, with the game ending with a "coming soon" message upon reaching the boss area of the second stage.
