The PAL version still refers to itself in-game as Spot and the Quest for Cool (though the packaging says otherwise).
Title screen
Despite crediting 7-up, and the beverage being sold in PAL territories, all references to the soft drink are removed from the PAL version of the game. This means Spot is seen riding a bottle with an SOS message inside instead.

Removing 7-up branding means some of the items needed to change as well. The 7-up logos are replaced with the "V" from Virgin Games, while the 1-up also removes spot.
The "Spot's Quest for Cool" naming also appears on the debug screen in the EU version.
Game Gear version
Title screen
Like its Mega Drive counterpart, all traces of 7-up (save the initial credit) are removed from the PAL release. The menu has been moved up slightly to try and compensate.
