Master System version
Cheat mode
Set "Play Tune" to 9 and "Play Sound" to 12. This will allow you to change the game mode to "Cheat" and become invincible.
Level select
Set "Play Tune" to 10 and "Play Sound" to 7. Now when highlighting exit, and can change a level counter in the bottom right. In Easy mode, this counter only goes up to 10, in Normal it's 12 and in Hard (or Cheat) mode it maxes out at 14.
Game Gear version
