jEnesisDS is a Sega Mega Drive emulator developed by Stephan Dittrich, which runs on the Nintendo DS. It is based upon the older emulator jEnesis, which the developer re-wrote from Java to C and ARM assembly. As the Mega Drive has a higher resolution than the Nintendo DS, the screen is cropped on all four edges.
Stephan Dittrich was hired by Sega to rework the emulator for their Nintendo DS game, Sonic Classic Collection, which ran emulated versions of several Mega Drive games. This version of jEnesisDS takes the resolution problem into account by resizing the screen to fit the Nintendo DS.
