Pac-Man (パックマン) is an action game, originally developed and published by Namco for Arcades in 1980. Namco ported the game to the MSX personal computers in 1984. This version would be released in United Kingdom plus Netherlands by Bug-byte and by Zafiro in Spain; however, both in cassette tape format as opposed to the ROM cartridge format from Japanese version. It was also released on MSX2 computers through Disk NG 2, alongside Galaxian, Dig Dug, Mappy, Rally-X and SHM.
The MSX version of Pac-Man received an unlicensed port for the Sega Master System in South Korea, being exclusive to several multicarts, likely before Namco ported Pac-Man to the Sega Game Gear in 1990.
Multicart appearances
- 128 Hap (as 팩 맨)
- Best 39 (as 팩맨)
- Best 88 (as 팩맨)
- Game Moeumjip 188 Hap (as 팩맨)
In all versions, copyrights related to Namco were removed.
