Saki Ishiguro is a console game designer at Sega of Japan.

Early life

Born outside of Japan, Saki Ishiguro grew up in Luxembourg until elementary school. She loved video games from an early age and aspired to join the game industry, with Sega being one of the more well-known arcade game companies in Europe. After moving to Japan, Ishiguro attended a Liberal education school, and struggled to understand Japanese culture, particularly work culture. This reinforced her desire to work at Sega, as it held a global presence and having a foreign experience would be an asset.

Career

After joining Sega, Saki Ishiguro work on console games Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X, Shin Sakura Taisen and Sonic Frontiers in various capacities. For Sonic Superstars, she was responsible for scheduling the development team, managing tasks, checking up on quality, and staying in contact with Sega of America to ensure the game took into account US culture and customs. She also managed the localization for several countries.
