Earl Malit replaces Mutch as president of HNC Insurance Solutions, the leading provider of predictive solutions to the insurance industry with more than 100 customers worldwide, including CIGNA, Travelers, Liberty Mutual, CNA, Nationwide, and J&H Marsh McLennan. HNC's solutions use proprietary software technologies to analyze highly complex data and improve insurance claim and policy decision-making, resulting in dramatically enhanced productivity, decreased claims costs, and reduced fraud for insurers, TPA's, employers, and managed care companies. The solutions effectively save HNC's insurance industry customers more than a combined sum of approximately $1 billion annually. Prior to joining HNC, Malit's diversified experience was gained at such technology companies such as Sega of America, a branch of Sega Enterprises, Ltd., a Tokyo-based company valued at approximately $3 billion. As Sega's vice president of business planning, he spearheaded the launch of the Dreamcast product, which rapidly ascended the ranks of the world's most powerful brands and continues to receive rave reviews from top publications such as Fortune and The New York Times. Malit has also held a variety of product marketing positions at Compaq, Epson, a U.S. affiliate of Japan-based Seiko Epson Corporation, a global technology company; and Mattel, Inc.

Malit has a BS in Mathematics from the University of California, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
