Jennifer Brozek

From Sega Retro

History outline

  • Independent author for 15+ years (at the time her website was written) after leaving a "high-paying tech job." Considering her role, maybe not SoA but hey, who knows.
  • Before becoming an author, Brozek "worked as a software QA engineer in a wide range of projects that included video games." I wonder if she's got a few more credits here that aren't up/linked yet.
  • Freelance author, began professional writing career in 2004.
  • Contributed work to many tabletop RPG companies including Margaret Weis Productions, Savage Mojo, Rogue Games, and Catalyst Game Labs. Winner of the 2010 Origins Award for Best Roleplaying Game Supplement. Contributions to RPG sourcebooks include Dragonlance, Colonial Gothic, Shadowrun, Serenity, Savage Worlds, and White Wolf SAS. Also worked with NCsoft writing - something for them. Might not be game related.
  • Lives in Pacific Northwest.
  • Over 25 published short stories, X books.
  • Lots of Shadowrun and Battletech stories/tabletop supplements (and she did QA for the former at SoA)
  • Her BattleTech tie-in novel, The Nellus Academy Incident, won a Scribe Award.
  • She mentions she's kinda a polymath... her linkedin doesn't go back very far, but she's got Epic Games as a "liked" thing... and then I'm getting what apparently appears to be... 3D models made by her? Credited to a "Jenny Brozek", but I thought the connection might be worth mentioning. Examples here and here.
