Master System consoles in South America
From Sega Retro
- "This game was built-in, not in a cartridge" (Super Futebol II) Are you sure about this? It's not a known bios.--Pirate Dragon (talk) 04:57, 29 April 2016 (CDT)
- OK, I see it says it in the manual--Pirate Dragon (talk) 04:59, 29 April 2016 (CDT)
- Tectoy released so many Master System versions that most of their bioses haven't been dumped (especially the "compact" and "collection" ones) and some aren't even widely known (e.g. there's at least about five versions from Argentina and Uruguay I know of, and aren't listed here). If you have any questions drop me a message. --AllisonKidd (talk) 20:02, 29 April 2016 (CDT)
- Well, those "collection" ones are a bit different. "xxx-in-1" roms aren't always simple to dump, and I'm not sure that those models even use "proper" master system hardware, as they released so long after (end of 2002). I think that Super Futebol II is the only SMS2 bios not dumped. Looking at Super Compact/Master System Girl there's also "Mônica no Castelo do Dragão" and "Mônica no Castelo do Dragão / Sonic" bioses according to the wiki. I'd be surprised if Argentina & Uruguay had different bioses to Brazil. SMS bioses tend to be the same between 50Hz and 60Hz regions--Pirate Dragon (talk) 05:01, 30 April 2016 (CDT)
- Oh yeah you're absolutely right about bioses and the only real difference about the Brazilian and Argentinian/Uruguayan consoles is the PAL-M to PAL-N conversion, as they were all manufactured in Brazil and exported. I was mostly talking about the lack of info/photos about certain versions which are quite hard to spot nowadays. Best sources would be mercadolibre.com.ar and mercadolibre.com.uy ("consolas y videojuegos" section) for the non-BR stuff, though most of the good items are private listings. I believe someone uploaded nice scans/photos of an Argentinian version to SMS Power a while ago also but I'm too lazy to copy them over. --AllisonKidd (talk) 13:35, 30 April 2016 (CDT)

Master System II "Jogos de Verão" version
As far as I know only the cartridge and manual came bundled. Should we put a cart image in there instead of the cover (if I confirm it anyway), or leave it as is? --AllisonKidd (talk) 23:20, 3 May 2016 (CDT)
- Cartridge, if you can confirm it -Black Squirrel (talk) 12:45, 4 May 2016 (CDT)
Master System 3 Collection
The last two models, with 120 and 131 built-in games, don't have a cartridge slot. Should we move them somewhere else or keep them here? --AllisonKidd (talk) 20:38, 1 March 2017 (CST)
- They should probably be moved to their own pages (if not just because there are 100+ games to list), but I'm not against listing them here as well. Your call -Black Squirrel (talk) 11:37, 2 March 2017 (CST)
Master System Plug & Play 40
Probably needs to go on the Poga page.
I imagine there are several more of these that haven't been documented though, so it may require a bit more thought -Black Squirrel (talk) 04:41, 27 August 2018 (CDT)
