What's the situation with games which have multiple genres - it's easy for the SG-1000, but the Mega Drive in particular has a few inconsistencies - Andlabs has been keeping check
games like Shining Force in which the box says RPG, but Sega of Japan's master list says simulation. Are we favouring the one we think is most accurate (RPG in this case) or catering for both -Black Squirrel 13:13, 23 April 2012 (CDT)
- This is something I brought up in IRC since I was the one who put those in... What I'm a bit more worried about are also situations where the boxes say two things... and also the situation where Japan doesn't see educational and compilation as separate genres :/ They don't see strategy as a separate genre (is it?) and it took them a decade to recognize fighting as a separate genre so I don't know who's right anymore - Andlabs 13:33, 23 April 2012 (CDT)
- I'd suggest entering the second category manually. There isn't a good way to do it without duplicating processes, and I don't think there are enough two-genre games to make it worthwhile anyway. - Hivebrain 15:07, 23 April 2012 (CDT)
