Yeah so obviously I've not been maintaining this nor have I bothered to maintain the SMS, Saturn and Dreamcast ones. Because I don't know the true number of third party peripherals and the list could be huge.

But I'm starting to come to the conclusion that these templates are getting huge regardless - I think we need a better solution. I did think about making a specific template for third party accessories but then we run into problems - the MegaFire or Mega Stick became official Sega products, despite being manufactured by third parties. What would happen to Majesco's stuff? What about third party consoles? It's a complete mess.

I think perhaps a better solution is to copy Sonic Retro's "Omni" templates, i.e. have templates which dynamically show content on the fly, but I'm not sure what the best way of doing that is. Rather than have "LEVELS", "BADNIKS", "BOSSES" etc. I was thinking maybe "CONSOLES", "CONTROLLERS", "ONLINE GARBAGE", "UNLICENSED STUFF" - something along those lines.

But this might be a good opportunity to make these templates a bit... prettier too. idk. -Black Squirrel 15:00, 14 May 2012 (CDT)
