Sega Arcade Boards

From Sega Retro

I listed the NAOMI and its variants separately, as well as several other things listed separately (like Ringedge and Ringwide). What should we do about these variants — keep them separate or list them on the regular page, separated by their variant type? I know the NAOMI page says nothing about NAOMI GD-ROM... - Andlabs 12:23, 16 April 2011 (CDT)

I would be tempted to merge all the NAOMI stuff for the same reason we don't keep separate pages for Model 2A, Model 2B and Model 2C games. At the end of the day they're all mostly the same bit of kit -Black Squirrel 12:40, 16 April 2011 (CDT)

eeeehhhh

So I had this idea a few weeks ago - Template:Sega Consoles. Thought I might try to do the same with Sega's arcade boards... but I'm not sure it turned out as well. This is also because the release dates (and names) for these boards aren't very reliable.

The colours come from this sandbox of mine. I was thinking of adding these values to Mediawiki:Common.css, so that we have a common set of nice-ish table colours to use should the need arise.

thoughts? -Black Squirrel (talk) 15:44, 8 June 2015 (CDT)

Looks really nice. How do you decide which row to put things on? - Hivebrain (talk) 16:25, 8 June 2015 (CDT)

rethink

Sega went and released a whole bunch of arcade systems when I wasn't looking:

Nu 1.1, Nu 2, Nu SX, ALLS UX, ALLS HX, ALLS HX2

got quite a lot of "post NAOMI" systems now too -Black Squirrel (talk) 17:42, 1 December 2020 (EST)
