Play as boss characters
The two boss characters, Saisyu Kusanagi and Omega Rugal, become playable after completing the game once on any difficulty level. This is saved to the Saturn's internal memory so they remain unlocked after powering the system off. The bosses are selectable in every mode, but Team Edit must be enabled in the team modes since neither boss is a member of any team.
Quick select
In any team mode, when the game is asking whether to enable Team Edit, hold 
+
while pressing any other button to select either "Yes" or "No." This automatically chooses the last played team (including custom teams, regardless of whether Team Edit is enabled). The game remembers the last played team until the Saturn is powered off; it chooses the Hero Team if there was no last played team since the console was powered on.
