During the introduction sequence, after the screen has stopped shaking, press the following on the second control pad, releasing the buttons between the seven steps:

HOLD BUp HOLD CUp HOLD B+CUp HOLD AUp HOLD A+BUp HOLD A+CUp HOLD A+B+CUp

A single white pixel should appear at the left of the tower to confirm the correct entry.

Starting the game, Toki will be invincible (like the code above), can jump continously, and will gain a curious shield when touching an invincibility star.

Pressing A+B+C on the second control pad will show a "character editor", which can be swapped for a memory editor by pressing  START . Combinations of holding A, B or C while pressing the d-pad will allow you to view different tiles/palettes/addresses. Press A+B+ START  to return to normal play

Start a new game and don't touch the controls. After timing out and losing all your lives, the game will revert to the title screen and start playing the rolling demos.

During one such demo, the game will pause itself. If you unpause Toki will die from a time over, but will respawn, fully controllable at the beginning of the stage. You will be playing on normal difficulty with three continues and three lives.

Given that it takes ten minutes for a level to time out, and many of the demos run flawlessly prior to the pause, it can take upwards of 40 minutes to occur (and even longer on the unoptimised PAL version).
