The 1991-05-28 build of Battle Mania is a prototype build of Trouble Shooter for the Sega Mega Drive. It was released by drx during the February 23rd, 2008 proto release.

This prototype's build date places it about six months before the initial release of the North American version. The actual levels appear to be finalized in terms of graphics and design, though various presentation-related things throughout the game remain incomplete. This prototype is copyrighted by Sega, hinting the possibility that the game was initially going to be distributed as a first party title, unlike the final release which was copyrighted and published by VIC Tokai itself.
