Note: All codes should be performed when paused.
Contents
All powerful mode
Press . This is the equivalent of the IBM PC's "God mode", making you invulnerable to attacks.
Lots of Goodies!
Press . This gives you all weapons and items and maximises your ammo, health and armor.
Level warp
Press . This will activate a level select for the first 54 levels. The secret ones are not included.
Map all lines
Press . This will draw all the "lines" on the map.
Map all things
Press . This will draw all the "things" on the map.
Semi-transparent walls
Pause the game and press . This will apply a mesh pattern to all the visible walls, allowing you to see through them.[1] However, it does not change rendering priorities, so for example, if the room next door isn't set to draw because it wouldn't normally be visible to the player, you still won't see anything.
Given its utility of seeing through walls, the button code may have originally been intended to spell XRAY XRAY.[2]
Special credits
Two "special" credits screens can be seen by entering passwords on the second level of Ultimate Doom. When the game claims the passwords are invalid, press START .
- JB4JH*****: "Rage Special Credits", featuring lead programmer at Rage Software, Jim Bagley.
- LYJVM*****: "Sega Special Credits", featuring Sega Europe programmer Ed Hollingshead
Only the first five charcters need to match; the rest of the password does not matter.
