Gameplay

The game contains adaptations of four common board games (Chess, Checkers, Backgammon, and Reversi) and one dice game (Yacht, based on Yahtzee). Backgammon
The objective of backgammon is to get all of one's own pieces off the board before the opposing player does. The first player to move is determined by a die roll at the start of the game. The player rolls two dice and then moves the number of spaces indicated by the dice; the player can move twice the number of spaces if both die roll to the same number. The black player moves counterclockwise and the white player moves clockwise. 2 rolls the dice. The D-Pad moves the cursor over each piece, 1 selects and moves the piece, and 2 releases the cursor to cancel a move.

The  START  menu allows the player to double, switch sides, toggle auto-roll, restart the game, or change the difficulty level or music.

Checkers
The objective of checkers is to capture all of the opponent's pieces. Pieces are moved diagonally and capture other pieces by jumping over them. The black player moves first, then the players alternate turns. The D-Pad moves the cursor over each piece and 1 selects and moves the piece.

The  START  menu allows the player to take back a move, switch sides, restart the game, or change the difficulty level or music.

Reversi
Players take turns placing disks on the board with their assigned color facing up. Pieces must be placed such that they form a straight line (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) with the player's own pieces at each end and the opponent's pieces in between. This flips all of the opponent's pieces in the line to the player's own color. The objective of the game is to have the majority of disks on the board one's own color when the last playable square is filled. The black player moves first, then the players alternate turns. The D-Pad moves the cursor over each square of the board and 1 places a piece.

The  START  menu allows the player to take back a move, switch sides, restart the game, or change the difficulty level or music.

Chess
The objective of chess is to checkmate the other player's king by placing it in a position where it is threatened and cannot escape. Each piece moves differently. The white player moves first, then the players alternate turns. The D-Pad moves the cursor over each piece and 1 selects and orders the piece.

The  START  menu allows the player to take back a move, receive a hint, switch sides, restart the game, customize the pieces on the board, or change the difficulty level or music.

Yacht
The game uses five dice, and the objective of the game is to fulfill the 12 categories on the score pad within 12 turns. Each turn consists of 3 dice rolls. After the first roll, the player can optionally re-roll any of the five dice. For dice, Left and Right selects a die, 1 toggles a die to roll, and 2 rolls. For categories, Up and Down highlights a scoring category and 1 selects it.

The  START  menu allows the player to restart the game or change the music.
