Welcome to Sega Retro, a new project from the people behind Sonic Retro. We aim to cover everything possible about Sega from the 1940s to today. We currently are working on 43,639 articles and have many more that are requested to be worked on.
While this wiki is designed to help the community by providing information, it is also dependent on the community to be updated. Anyone with an account may edit the wiki. As you feel more comfortable with the site, please feel free to make any changes or additions that you feel necessary.
Featured ArticleShining Force: The Legacy of Great Intention, also simply known as Shining Force is a turn-based tactical role-playing game released in 1992 published by Sega for the Mega Drive and the first of the tactical Shining Force series. Its development was a conjoined effort between the independent studio Climax Entertainment and Sonic Co., a Sega second party that was formed to create the previous Shining game, Shining in the Darkness. It was rereleased several times for other systems and was remade in 2004 by Amusement Vision, renamed Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon, but this title is not considered to be canon to the series. Other media associated with this game include an encyclopedia, several game guides, two soundtrack releases, a manga series (3 volumes) and The Curse of Zeon, a six part story published in Sonic the Comic (issues #73-78). |
