The King of Fighters 2001 is an entry in the The King of Fighters series which was originally released on the Neo-Geo arcade hardware by SNK. The Sega Dreamcast version of the game was only released in Japan on December 2002.
Unlike it's predecessors on the Dreamcast, the game does not have any major changes from the original KoF 2001 other than the addition of additional stages from KoF '94 to KoF 2000, like it's predecessor, the game does not support the Dreamcast to Neo Geo Pocket Color link cable.
The game was followed by The King of Fighters 2002: Challenge to Ultimate Battle.
