For example, we treat iOS and Android as two separate platforms, and even if 99% of the library is the same we don't want to be combining lists. Just like we don't want to be removing Toshihiro Nagoshi's history because "executive" is less exciting than hands-on development work. Or turning a perfectly good Greatest Nine franchise template into something that incorporates every baseball game ever.

Thanks for contributing, but the Sega page should really just document the core "Sega" company, not the timeline of every department and the people who worked for them. We've got an entire wiki for that :P

At the most your new sections should say "these divisions exist(ed)", and point to the divisions' pages (e.g. Sega AM2 or WOW Entertainment or whatever). Otherwise we're just repeating things. We're not Wikipedia - we can afford to spread this information out -Black Squirrel (talk) 08:10, 10 May 2015 (CDT)

Sega AM1

We want the WOW Entertainment projects on the WOW Entertainment page, not the Sega AM1 one.

In fact, there shouldn't be any projects after 1999 on that page - we want a new page each time there's a major restructuring, otherwise it becomes misleading and unmanagable. -Black Squirrel (talk) 12:30, 24 February 2017 (CST)

Japan only games

Don't add games to that category manually like that. It can be done automatically via the releases templates. Also, I'm not keen on the way you've named the category. - Hivebrain (talk) 16:32, 1 May 2017 (CDT)

  • Could you explain how that works (automatic categories)?--Trippled (talk) 16:54, 1 May 2017 (CDT)

Can you please stop deleting huge chunks of information or attempting to reorganise the wiki without talking about it first - I seem to be having to undo a lot of your edits recently.

  • On the Land Ho! article someone combined the iOS/Android, so I thought it would be common practice. I get in the habit of streamlining like Wikipedia, but yeah fanwikis are there to be exhaustive I guess--Trippled (talk) 15:17, 9 May 2017 (CDT)
