The SJ-200 is the standard issue controller for the SG-1000. Designed before the days of D-Pads, the SJ-200 has a joystick and two buttons mounted on the top of the unit.
The SJ-200 is plagued with many problems. The joystick is unresponsive, the controller's lead is noticably short and the build quailty is low when compared to future controllers. This led to the creation of the SJ-300 and SJ-300M, and prompted Sega to bundle the SG-1000 II with SJ-150 controllers.
