Heiankyo Alien (平安京エイリアン) is a 1979 arcade game produced by Denki Onkyo. The game runs on cloned Head On hardware.

Heiankyo Alien was retooled by Gremlin/Sega for western audiences as Digger. Unlike Digger, Heiankyo Alien uses slightly different graphics in some sections and places all of the enemies on screen at once (as opposed to Digger's method of filtering them in after a period of time).

In its original form, Heiankyo Alien was not brought to home systems, however an updated version was released for the Game Boy in 1990 under the same name by Meldac. In late 1995 it was updated again and released for the Super Famicom as Nichibutsu Arcade Classics 2: Heiankyo Alien - this port also includes the original version (albeit in a form tailored for the Super Famicom) and was published by Nihon Bussan.
