Sound test
On the title screen, press 
+
on Control Pad 2 before the lightning animation that displays "PUSH START BUTTON" ends. To operate the sound test, press 
and 
to move the cursor, and to select a track, and to play the selected track. There does not seem to be a way out of this mode.
This code requires and to be pressed simultaneously, which requires a modified controller or having restricted inputs disabled in emulators such as Gens/GS.
