History outline
- First 8 years of her career were spent in the entertainment industry/Hollywood, notably working as a manager (of marketing?) at New Line Cinema.
- Hired by SoA in 92 to bring "Hollywood-style" marketing to Sega and specifically the Sonic franchise.
- "Won a couple of big-time marketing awards" (doesn't say which ones)
- After leaving Sega, went to Mattel to work with their interactive division/game development subsidiary. Notably worked on (produced?) the big-selling Barbie games.
- Later left to work at LeapFrog, heading their Leapster division. She soon turned it around and made it profitable.
- Later head of global marketing for The Sims franchise at Electronic Arts.
- S&K was launched and marketed less like a game and more like a Hollywood motion picture. Came up with the idea/organized Rock the Rock.
- RTR: "Round one" was a one-night worldwide Sonic 3 tournament taking place in Hard Rock Cafe locations.
- RTR: Winners were dressed in prison attire, had a briefcase handcuffed to them, and were driven to a nearby airport to be flown to San Francisco, CA (Alcatraz). This is hilarious.
- RTR: Alcatraz tournament happened the next day, with participants ferried over sometime in the morning.
- RTR: MTV was seemingly only involved with the Alcatraz side of the tournament, but that needs to be verified.
- S3/S&K split happened because of the US McDonalds Happy Meal schedule, this is the third ref I've seen for it.
- Worked with Sonic Team at SoJ on the design of Knuckles. They got to decide he was an echidna, and she got to choose his name!!
