Since the late 80s, Nintendo used a "colored triangles" system for licensed video games appearing within PAL regions (Europe, Australasia, Africa and PAL Asia). These triangles can be found on the spine of the manuals for [[NES]] (games released from late 80s), [[SNES]], [[Game Boy]], [[Nintendo 64]], [[Game Boy Color]] and [[Game Boy Advance]]. After 2002 release of the [[Nintendo GameCube]], Nintendo has adopted these triangles in the video game boxes, and apply to all GameCube, [[Nintendo DS]], [[Wii]], [[Nintendo 3DS]], [[Wii U]] and [[Nintendo Switch]] software. There is more than 50 different colors, many still undocumented. It is worth noting that the color doesn't indicate the country in which the game is sold, but the language of the copy (with only a few exceptions), therefore, several different triangles can be found in one country.

Since the late 80s, Nintendo used a "colored triangles" system for licensed video games appearing within PAL regions (Europe, Australasia, Africa and PAL Asia). These triangles can be found on the spine of the manuals for NES (games released from late 80s), SNES, Game Boy, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. After 2002 release of the Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo has adopted these triangles in the video game boxes, and apply to all GameCube, Nintendo DS, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U and Nintendo Switch software. There is more than 50 different colors, many still undocumented. It is worth noting that the color doesn't indicate the country in which the game is sold, but the language of the copy (with only a few exceptions), therefore, several different triangles can be found in one country.
