BattleStorm is an unreleased Sega Mega Drive military strategy game compatible with the equally-unreleased Teleplay System, allowing players to deploy military vehicles and issue troop commands in real-time matches across the country.[3]
History
BattleStorm, alongside Terran Wars, Order of the Talon, and Build-A-Better Dinosaur, was intended as one of four launch titles for the Teleplay System. Ultimately, due to Baton Technologies' financial issues in acquiring an official development license, neither the modem nor any of its 9 planned games were ever released.[1] According to Baton founder Keith Rupp's official LinkedIn resume, BattleStorm is listed with Terran Wars and Sea of Vengeance as one of three games which had its production managed by Rupp and Baton directly.[4]
