The Olympia series describes a generation of Japan-exclusive slot machines published by Olympia, a joint venture between Sega Enterprises and Taito.[1] Beginning with the Olympia Star in 1964, the machine was instrumental in bringing a form of legalized slot gambling to Japan, and laid the foundations for the future medal game industry.[1]
